Brivia Group, one of the 20 largest communication groups in Brazil, continuously invests in initiatives to strengthen its employees' experience and support the company's sustainable growth. As part of that evolution, the Human Capital team was looking for new ways to complement its listening processes, making them deeper, faster and more scalable.

Although the company already runs climate surveys and other check-in rituals, there was an interest in exploring a more conversational approach to understand people's perceptions in a specific context with greater richness of detail. With that goal, the company's CHCO ran a pilot using Grunn.ai's conversational AI in one of Brivia Group's tribes.

We are a company with more than 400 employees, and individual in-depth listening becomes a challenge. The climate surveys we run periodically help us track the organization's temperature, but in some contexts we need to go beyond the indicators and better understand the perceptions, nuances and causes behind the data. That's what we set out to explore with this pilot: a more conversational, agile and qualitative way to deepen listening in a specific area of the company.

In just 5 days, the AI held individual conversations with the employees of a business unit, averaging 9 minutes each, giving HR access to the interviews right after they happened. The pilot demonstrated the potential of the conversational approach to deepen employee listening and also brought important learnings to support decision-making.

The main differentiator I noticed was how natural the conversation felt. The AI conducts the interaction with empathy, makes connections with what the person just shared and creates a sense of genuine listening. That care in the way it was conducted made a difference in the employees' experience — they reported feeling at ease to talk and to go deeper into their perceptions. That was the aspect that struck me most compared to other solutions I knew.

One of the pilot's main results was how receptive employees themselves were. At the end of the interviews, 89% of participants rated the experience of talking to the AI positively.

What surprised me most was the feedback from people. Several commented that they had enjoyed the conversation, felt comfortable speaking and managed to develop their ideas better than they expected. For me, that was the main sign that the conversational experience really made a difference.
